Wine Tasting at Creekview Vineyards November 15th and 16th. 2006 Estate Melody Release!
We will be open for wine tasting this Saturday and Sunday November 15th and 16th from 11am to 5 pm. Join us as we celebrate the release of our 2006 “Melody” which is the estate blend similar to our 2005 Estate Cabernet. The 2006 Melody is a blend 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 14% Petite Verdot and 11% Malbec. All of the grapes for this blend are grown on the Creekview property. This wine was aged 21 months in new ultra premium French oak barrels and will pair wonderfully with your Thanksgiving turkey or ham.

December Tasting Estate Chardonnay Release!
Our December tasting will be December 20th and 21st. To help celebrate the holidays we will be offering special discounts on selected wines. Over the last 24 months Teri has been honing her winemaking skills, online classes at Davis, research online and experimenting in the “garage”. We are excited to announce the release of her 1st of many wines to come. This is the 2007 Unfiltered Estate Chardonnay. This is a well crafted Chardonnay with aromas of fruit and earth on the nose, the flavors are of apricot, lemon cream and toasted nuts with a finish of spice. This wine is bottled in a 750 ML collector bottle that has been hand etched and painted the cork and neck has been finished in a hand dipped gold seal.

2008 Harvest
We have completed the 2008 harvest and another record year, over 40,000 lbs of grapes processed! All of the grapes have been picked, crushed and pressed. By months end all of the 2008 vintage should be tucked away in barrels for the long winter. A special thanks to all of you that helped us through the harvest!!

Creekview Wine Club
Many of you have inquired about our wine club. We are planning to launch the club sometime in December of this year. Stay tuned for details.

Wine Tasting at Creekview Vineyards October 18th and 19th 2006 Syrah Release and Antique Twany Release!
We will be open for wine tasting this Saturday and Sunday October 18th and 19th from 11am to 5pm. We will be releasing our 2006 Syrah and our very first Antique Tawney Port. We are completely sold out of the 2005 Syrah, however the 2006 Syrah is tasting great.

November Tasting
Our November tasting will be on the 15th and 16th. With a surprise wine release. Stay tuned for details.

2008 Harvest
Here it is again harvest time and we are right in the middle of it. We just have a few more rows of estate grapes to pick and two more family vineyards to harvest.

Passport Holders
For those of you that need to get your passports stamped, Tuesday, October 21st is the deadline. This weekend will be the best time to complete your passports since some wineries are only open weekends.

Just a reminder, Rocca’s Market carries Creekview Vineyards Wine. In addition to our 2006 Chardonnay, 2005 Estate Cabernet, 2006 Merlot and 2005 Syrah, Rocca’s now sells our 2006 Old Vine Zinfandel. They are located on Monterey Road at San Martin Ave. All Wines are 10% off through October 21st.

Wine Tasting at Creekview Vineyards September 20th and 21st. OVZ Release!
We will be open for wine tasting Saturday and Sunday September 20th and September 21st from 11am to 5pm. The 2006 Old Vine Zinfandel will be released on this weekend and it is tasting great. This wine is a limited production so be sure to pick up an extra bottle to put away for the holidays.

Passport Weekend October 4th and 5th. Music, Food, Fun and Wine!
Saturday and Sunday October 4th and 5th we will be open for the Passport Weekend from 11am to 5pm, live music by Handpicked String Band. All the wineries of Santa Clara Valley are participating in this special event. The cost is only $25 per person which includes a souvenir wine glass, the new Santa Clara Valley wine map and a passport. Take part in special events at each participating winery such as barrel tasting, BBQ’s, winery tours, special discounts, new releases, and live music. Creekview Merlot Now By The Glass At Westside Grill
Opened in 2006, The Westside Grill has rapidly become a local Gilroy favorite for lunch, dinner -- and now on weekends -- brunch. September Tasting OVZ Release!
Please join us September 20th and 21st as we celebrate the release of the 2006 Old Vine Zinfandel. The 2006 is even more of a bramble bomb than the 2005. This is due impart to the lower yield of the 2006 vintage. We have added just a splash of Old Vine Moulvedre to add some additional spice. Yes the Zin is back but supplies will be very limited

Wine Tasting at Creekview

We will be open for wine tasting Memorial Day Weekend Saturday and Sunday May 24th and 25th from 11am to 5pm. We will be celebrating the release of our wines exactly one year ago and to commemorate this event, we will have our library wines on hand for tasting.

Highlights on April Events

On Saturday, April 12th we participated in a Chili Cook Off at Strixe Lounge, at Morgan Hill Bowl. They had twelve participants, and our Chili came in fifth place. Rob and Eggie invited us to pour our wine and even decorated a Tiki Bar for us. Our backyard wine tasting on Saturday April 19th featuring the “Day Valley Bluegrass Band” was so relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks to everyone that attended to make this day so memorable and a big thank you to the band for playing our favorite song “Shady Grove”. During our last tasting, we had the pleasure of meeting “Bill, the Wine Guy” from VIVA Los Gatos Neighborhood Eatery. He coordinates the Tuesday Tastings at VIVA and invites local wineries to present their wines. Creekview was the featured winery Tuesday, April 22nd. They had a full house that night and our wine was flowing. Their address is 15970 Los Gatos Blvd. Los Gatos, 95032. Wine tasting at Troy’s Bocce Ball and Wine Bar on Sunday, April 27th featured “Diamond Bob & The Alley Sneakers” band. They entertained us all afternoon with the blues while playing Bocce Ball, Billiards and of course sipping on wine. Wine Purchases

In addition to our wines for sale at Rocca’s Market, Troy’s Bocce Ball and Wine Bar is offering our 2005 Merlot by the glass and bottle. The Morgan Hill Tobacco Company has our 2005 Estate Zinfandel by the glass and bottle. These two wines are sold out through the winery however; our 2006 releases are coming up this summer.

Wine Tasting at Creekview

We will be open for wine tasting this Saturday and Sunday April 19th and 20th from 11am to 5pm. On Saturday only, we will have live music featuring the “Day Valley Bluegrass Band.” We will open up our backyard to relax, wine taste and enjoy the entertainment.

Highlights on March Events

During our March wine tasting on the 15th and 16th, it was great to see a lot of faces we have not seen during the cold winter months. On Saturday March 15th, we had a luxury bus make a stop at our winery with a group from a wine bar in Almaden Valley by the name of “Unwined.” They were touring unique boutique wineries in the area and put us on the map as the last stop. If interested in finding out more about this Wine Bar & Shop, their address is 6946 Almaden Expressway, San Jose. Tuesday Evening, March 25th, we were invited to pour our wine at the California Café in Los Gatos. They have wine tastings every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm on the front patio. We will be open for wine tasting this weekend March 15th and 16th from 11am to 5pm. For those of you that are new to our enewsletter, our tastings are outdoors, so remember to have a sweatshirt handy if the weather changes. This weekend we will taste our 2006 Monterey County Chardonnay, 2005 Santa Clara Valley Syrah, 2005 Santa Clara Valley Cabernet, and our first release of 2005 Estate Cabernet. This Estate Cab is a Beautiful Bordeaux blend that is delicious now or can be put away for a later date.

Vineyard Update

After pruning all the vines in January, planting the cover crop of mustard and rye, we took off for a vacation in February and returned to find yellow mustard flowers and a lush green backyard. Our Estate Chardonnay already has signs of bud break too.

Wine Tasting at Creekview

Weather permitting; we will be open for wine tasting this weekend January 19th and 20th. Please note we will be open 11am to 4pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday.  Our tasting is outdoors, remember to grab your gloves and hat before you come. This weekend we will taste our 2006 Monterey County Chardonnay, 2005 Santa Clara Valley Syrah and 2005 Santa Clara Valley Cabernet.

Creekview Olives

Creekview has established a relationship with a premium Southern California olive producer / processor and will now be offering our own line of olives. We will have some available for sale and tasting this weekend. The first two releases will be Italian and Cajun styles. Over the next several months we will be adding additional styles.

2007 Harvest

Our final harvest numbers are in and this year we processed over 15 tons of grapes which will produce around 800 cases of the 2007 vintage. We continue to barrel and rack our wines on a regular basis.

Vineyard Update

We started our pruning on New Years Day and are now complete. The cover crop of mustard and rye between the rows is now a lush green carpet. Another couple of months and the first buds will start to push out.

Wine Release Dates

We will be releasing our 2005 Estate Cabernet in March 2008.
